8:45 AM on September 11th, a kamikaze plane flew into the first of the Twin Towers.  Minutes later, the second tower was also struck.  Meanwhile, a plane crashed in Pittsburgh and another plane flew into the Pentagon.  All in all, over five thousand people have been reported missing, including the hundreds of firefighters who went into the World Trade center when the two Towers collapsed.  Even in such distress, Americans found the strength to stand together against terrorism.  The amount of love shown was incredible in donations of blood, time, food and supplies.  Even the Giants were at the Exchange place, helping unloading the tons of supplies sent by benevolent people.  In the following pictures, one can see the unity of the volunteers as they work together to feed the tired workers and firefighters at Exchange Place, Jersey City.

Old volunteers offer to carry what they can.

Young volunteers waiting to help unload the trucks.

Newly arrived boat from New York.

Firefighters returning after a tiring day.

Heroes greeted by volunteers upon their return.

Tons of food donated by individuals and companies.

Feeding the hungry volunteers and workers.

A patriotic man.

The New York Skyline still smoking.
